Overview
Every trade in EdgeBook can have multiple chart screenshots attached. The Chart Gallery provides a powerful way to view, organize, and navigate your trade documentation.Adding Images
There are several ways to add chart screenshots to a trade:Drag and Drop
Simply drag image files from your desktop or file explorer directly onto:- The trade detail view
- The trade creation modal
- The main trades area (creates a new trade)
Paste from Clipboard
- Copy a screenshot to your clipboard (e.g., from TradingView)
- Press
Ctrl+V/Cmd+Vin the trade detail view - The image is automatically added to the gallery
File Upload
- Click the + Add Image button
- Select one or more images from your computer
- Images are uploaded and attached to the trade
Gallery View
Thumbnail Strip
All attached images appear as thumbnails at the bottom of the trade detail view. Click any thumbnail to view it in the main display area.Reordering Images
Drag and drop thumbnails to reorder your images. The first image becomes the trade’s thumbnail in list views.Image Captions
Add captions to your images to describe what each chart shows:- Click the caption area below any image
- Type your description
- Captions are saved automatically
Full-Screen Viewer
Click any image to open it in full-screen mode:Navigation
Zoom and Pan
- Scroll wheel - Zoom in/out
- Click and drag - Pan around zoomed image
- Double-click - Reset zoom level
Image Actions
Each image has a menu with additional actions:- Annotate - Open the annotation editor
- Set as Thumbnail - Make this the trade’s cover image
- Download - Save the original image
- Delete - Remove from the trade
Supported Formats
EdgeBook supports all common image formats:- PNG (recommended for charts)
- JPEG
- GIF
- WebP
For best quality, use PNG format for chart screenshots. JPEG compression can make text and lines less clear.
Image Storage
All images are securely stored in Supabase Storage:- Private by default - Only you can access your images
- High resolution - Original quality preserved
- Fast loading - CDN-backed delivery
