# Trade Sharing

> Share your trades with the community and get feedback

## Overview

Trade Sharing lets you generate public links to share individual trades with others. Share your best setups for feedback, document educational examples, or build your trading reputation.

## Creating a Share Link

    Navigate to the trade you want to share and open the detail view.

  <Step title="Click Share">
    Click the **Share** button in the trade detail header.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate Link">
    Click **Generate Share Link** to create a unique public URL.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy and Share">
    Copy the link and share it via social media, Discord, email, or anywhere else.
  </Step>

## What Gets Shared

When you share a trade, viewers can see:

* **Title** - Your trade's title
* **Date** - When the trade was taken
* **Symbol** - The ticker/instrument
* **Result** - Win, Loss, Breakeven
* **Rating** - Your quality rating
* **Notes** - Your trade analysis (if included)
* **Tags** - Applied tags
* **Images** - All attached chart screenshots

  Shared trades are a **snapshot** at the time of sharing. If you update the trade later, the shared version remains unchanged.

## Shared Trade Page

Your shared trade appears on a public page at:

### Features of the Shared Page

* **Clean presentation** - Professional layout optimized for viewing
* **Image gallery** - Full gallery navigation with zoom
* **No login required** - Anyone with the link can view
* **View counter** - Track how many people have seen your trade

## Comments

Shared trades have a comment section where viewers can leave feedback:

### Leaving Comments

* No account required
* Enter a display name
* Choose an avatar color
* Add your comment

### Comment Moderation

* You can delete comments on your shared trades
* Inappropriate comments can be reported

## Managing Share Links

### View Your Shares

See all your shared trades in **Settings** > **Shared Trades**:

* List of all active share links
* View counts for each
* Quick copy link button
* Delete share option

### Deactivating Shares

To stop sharing a trade:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Shared Trades**
2. Find the share link
3. Click **Delete** or **Deactivate**
4. The public link will no longer work

  Once deactivated, the share link cannot be recovered. You'll need to create a new link if you want to share again.

## Use Cases

## Privacy Considerations

### What's NOT Shared

* Your account information
* Other trades in your journal
* Your strategies and setups (unless mentioned in notes)
* Your P\&L data (unless you include it in notes)

### Best Practices

    Check your notes and images before sharing. Remove any personal information you don't want public.

    Don't share every trade. Curate what you put out there - quality over quantity.

    If privacy is a concern, avoid including account balances, position sizes, or identifiable information.
